Academic Success Center

Mabee Learning Commons

Helping you achieve your academic and personal goals to become your most resilient self through relational and skill-based learning.

Overview

Our student success programs help students make a smooth transition into college. The Academic Success Center (ASC) is MNU’s primary academic resource for MNU students needing academic support. It is geared toward successfully boosting students’ ability to complete their undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees. Designed with MNU students’ success in mind, our mission is to help students achieve their academic goals. The ASC team works with students to develop a student success plan. Students may secure a tutor for a challenging class, enhance skills necessary to excel in their courses, set up accommodations, and much more. All services are free to MNU students.

Location

The ASC is located on the first floor of Mabee Learning Commons.

Tutoring & Writing Assistance

Types of Tutoring

Five types of tutoring are available for MNU students through the ASC: designated walk-in tutoring, small group tutoring, tutoring by appointment, and workshops, and online drop-off writing support. The subject, course, and tutors’ availability determine the type of tutoring offered. Because the ASC team realizes the need for support at all times of the day (and night), professional tutoring is available 24/7 via NetTutor (Live tutor subject hours may vary).
